EMBRACE PLURALISM

Herodotus writes the following (III, 38): “On one occasion, being king Darius summoned the Greeks who had in his court, and asked them at what price they would be willing to eat the bodies of their ancestors. They answered that nothing, absolutely nothing could force them to do so. Then Darius summoned the Kallatier, an Indian tribe used to eat their ancestors, and asked them in the presence of the Greeks, who possessed interpreter, at what price would agree to burn the bodies of their parents. Given this, the Kallatier launched loud cries of horror and begged him not even ruling such blasphemy. This is the world”.
